It seems like this new product is still being kept secret. But reportedly, Orange will be testing the charger, technically referred to as a “kinetic energy charger,” during the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, which will run from Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29.
Details on the dance-powered cell phone charger are still sketchy. But, it seems that the charger will work using magnets, an approach that is similar to that used in some flashlights that are charged by shaking.

I hope this makes it’s way to the states soon. Because I love dancing, and running… not to mention my phone has been in power save mode since i bought it!!! lol
This certainly sounds like interesting technology. Perhaps it won’t stop at cell phones. What else could we power with kinetic energy? What if kids had to get out and get moving to power their video games or television? Would we reduce obesity in the U.S.? Interesting stuff. Thanks for the post!
