We’ve talked about nutrition for dancers before, but there is a lot to say. Today, we’re going to look at the basics on an important topic: carbohydrates.

Many people, including dancers, fear carbohydrates. Depending on where you get your nutritional advice, you might have learned that carbohydrates are the enemy of fitness. But this isn’t true, especially for dancers.

If you’re always avoiding carbohydrates, getting the right facts could improve your performance.

Filmmaker David Kinsella’s “A Beautiful Tragedy,” a documentary that opens the doors of the Perm State Ballet School, is now available in all DVD formats.

On Kinsella’s YouTube Channel, you’ll find clips of the film. There, you’ll also find plenty of comments on each clip. It’s these comments that interest me today.

Olympic Champions, a Superbowl Star, and a Celebrity Chef Hit the Dance Floor for “Dancing With the Stars” Season 7

“Dancing With the Stars” will soon return to ABC for its 7th season. The show kicks off on Monday, September 22 with a three-night premiere event.

ABC has released the names of this season’s “stars,” which include Olympic medalists, a celebrity chef, and a retired defensive tackle.

On August 20, you won’t have to travel to see an amazing show. Cirque du Soleil will present “DELIRIUM”, the film, in select movie theaters across the United States and Canada for a special limited engagement, running August 20, 21, 23, and 24.

“DELIRIUM,” part of Cirque du Soleil’s repertoire since 2006, combines dance, music, and circus arts in a vibrant piece of imaginative visual art. Sony Pictures Releasing’s The Hot Ticket now brings “DELIRIUM,” the film, in High Definition, to theaters across North America.
